Teresa Cortes

CORTES, Teresa, age 68, passed away after a long battle with Dementia and Breast Cancer on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. Teresa was born September of 1955 in New York City, New York to the late Arcadio Cortes and Gloria Maria Cortes. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Maysonet and son, Victor Borrero and his wife Debbie Borrero; grandchildren, Edda Maysonet, Jilian Maysonet, Amber Maysonet, Joseph Borrero, Zyashia Borrero, Christopher Van Winkle, Kyle Van Winkle, Antonio Borrero and Gloria Borrero. As well as her great grandchildren, Ximena Camareno, Xyler Camareno, Lucas Van Winkle, Cooper Van Winkle, Silas Diaz and Freya McGarry.

Those who knew Teresa understood the phrase "I'm a Toys R Us kid" all too well. Teresa loved drawing and cartoons. She passed on that love and talent to her children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren. Teresa was a tough proud mother/grand/great grandmother. She loved hard and gave tough love. She always tried to get the most out of what life gave her and shared that with those she considered family. Most of all she enjoyed her time with family. Family will receive friends from 2:00-6:00 Sunday, February 4th at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg, for a Memorial Gathering.
