

Thomas N. Borgert, resident of Springboro, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on February 16, 1947, in Sidney, Ohio, Thomas was a beloved, loyal, and adventurous individual who left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
He cherished many memories from growing up in his hometown of Minster, Ohio. He proudly served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1969, a testament to his dedication and bravery. After his military service, he pursued a career in truck driving and retired in 2014 from R&L Carriers.
Thomas married the love of his life, Patricia, with whom he shared 47 wonderful years. He was a devoted father to three children: Trisha Gillum (Chris), Joe Borgert (Charla), and Kara Rourke (Andrew). His legacy extended to 10 grandchildren: Alexis Schmid (Nathan), Lucas Borgert, Robert Osborn, Shannon Osborn, Destin Gillum, Adysen Gillum, Nora Rourke, Graham Rourke, Lucas Rourke, and Ellie Rourke, as well as two great-grandchildren, Teagan Schmid and Riley Schmid. His family also includes four siblings; Orville Borgert (Jean), Patrick Borgert, Linda Lopez, and Debbie Keiser (Mike); and his two cherished fur babies.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Borgert; parents, Elmer and Elsie (Schmitmeyer) Borgert; and sister, Jane Norris.
His personal interests included hunting, attending gun and car shows, and appreciating classic cars. He found peace in fishing, walking in the woods, and cutting firewood, as well as listening to bluegrass music. He was an active member of American Legion Post #165, where he further demonstrated his commitment to community and camaraderie.
Thomas was known for his sense of humor, and he brought joy and laughter wherever he went. Family was his priority, and he was an excellent provider, instilling great work ethics in his children.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, located at 508 E. Linden Avenue, Miamisburg, Ohio. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Fr. Dan Dorsey officiating. Burial with Military Honors immediately following at Hillgrove Cemetery, 1012 E. Central Ave., Miamisburg, Ohio.
