Antoinette Traine

Nina was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the beloved daughter of the late Phillip Morello, affectionately known as “The Waffle Man of Cleveland,” and Rose Morello (née Coppola). She was the loving wife of the late William J. Traine.

Nina is survived by her children: William P. Traine (Sandra), Catherine Burdo (née Traine), and Patricia Kurtz (née Traine). She was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous joy.

She was a dear sister to Rose Marie Abazia (née Morello) and Joseph Morello (deceased), and is also survived by her sister Mary Ann Medaglia (née Morello; Gilbert, deceased).

She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Nina was a skilled seamstress and worked for many years at Bobby Brooks. She later devoted more than 30 years of service to the Cleveland Public School System, where her love for children was evident to all who knew her. Nina truly loved all children and took great pride in her work and service.

She cherished time spent with family and friends and especially enjoyed cooking for those she loved. Her hobbies included sewing and crocheting, talents she generously shared with others. Nina was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.

A Funeral Service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday January 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

The family will receive family and close friends Friday 4 - 7 PM at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights, Ohio 44130, (WEST of I-71)
