Arnie was born in Ontario, Pennsylvania. The youngest of 5. He attended Elsworth High School and was in the band playing the trumpet. His senior year he made the Pennsylvania All State Band and traveled through out Pennsylvania performing.
He started an apprenticeship at General Motors in Parma, Ohio a week after graduating high school.. He worked for General Motors as a tool and die maker for 44 years before retiring in May 2001. He was a member of the Northern Ohio Garden Railroad.
Arnie loved his time with family and friends – especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a love/hate relationship with Cleveland Browns and Indians. Watched sports all the time. Loved running his trains in our garden railroad. Arnie had a wonderful time each year at “Man Camp” with his sons and grandsons.
Arnie is survived by his wife of 32 years, Geneva (Genie) Thome, sons, William (Jennifer Froebel of Buffalo, Scott of Detroit, Patricia (deceased), Renee Burgess of Jeffersonville, Indiana, step children, Joseph (Cara) of San Diego and Rose (Dean) Casterline of Orlando. Grandchildren, Patrick Paulot (Jacalyn) of Conesus, N.Y. Samantha (deceased) Daniel Paulot of Detroit, Katherine Paulot of Ann Arbor, Megan Mcinnerney Despenes (Brandon) of Charlotte, N. Caroline, Olivia McInnerney of Durham, N. Carolina, Rebecca Steinbach, Ryan Steinbach, Cole Burgess, Cody Burgess of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Evan and Erin Casterline of Orlando and Ellis and Celia Thome of San Diego.
Great grandchildren, Reminton and Lillian of Conesus, N.Y. and Scotlyn of Charlotte, N. Carolina.
Arnie will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
