Barb and I worked together on 3 C at Lakewood Hospital. She was warm hearted kind and the best laugh ever. Those were the days that be long remembered.

To Barb’s family my deepest sympathy for your loss. Barb worked on the same floor at Lakewood Hospital as I did. She was always smiling, I don’t remember her ever being upset and work could get pretty hectic at times. She loved her family and was very proud of them. We kept in touch via Facebook after we both retired. Rest in peace Barb. You will be missed.

Soon, we will gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Barbara Gunter, a woman whose spirit was as vibrant as the sunsets each days end brings. Though our paths often diverged, and the miles between us were many, the bond we forged during our recent reunion was a testament to the love and caring that transcends time and distance.

Barbara was not just a mother, stepmother, sister, grandmother; she was a guiding star in a constellation of family. Her warmth and kindness and sense of humor radiated through every interaction, reminding us that family is not solely defined by proximity but by the love carried in our hearts. Our reunion, though short, was filled with laughter and heartfelt conversations that bridged the gaps of years apart. In those moments, we found solace and a deep understanding of each other's past journeys.

I am profoundly grateful for my sister, Laurie, whose unwavering love, and dedication to Mom was evident in every gesture of care she provided. Laurie, you ensured that Mom felt cherished and supported, embodying the very essence of compassion along with a little butt kicking when occasion warranted but only for the love and caring of a daughter. Your devotion allowed Mom to live her days surrounded by love and laughs which is a testament to the beautiful bond you both shared.

Mom Barb, your love and caring will forever live on in the hearts of those you touched. Your laughter, your wisdom, and your unwavering spirit will continue to inspire us. Though our time together was limited, it was filled with a depth of connection that will remain etched in my memory. Thank you for the gift of those moments, for the love you shared, and for the warmth that will forever be a part of our family.

As we say goodbye, let us carry forward the lessons you imparted—of love, resilience, and the importance of family, let’s not forget the sense of humor.  You will be dearly missed.
