Charles "Bob" Lawrence

Charles Robert (Bob) Lawrence, 99, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023 in his Strongsville home. Formerly of Northfield, Ohio and North Fort Myers, Florida, Bob enjoyed a long life, preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Nina Rose (Conley) Lawrence who passed away on February 2, 1995. Also preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Margaret McKnight, siblings, Howard, Tom, George, Jim and Betty.

Bob is survived by daughter, Karen (Mark) Angiocchi, granddaughter Sonya (Edwin) Weiland and five great-grandchildren; Daniel, Lauren, Eddie, Chloe and Luke, along with multiple nieces and nephews.

Bob had  a long, successful career of 36 years with Ohio Edison retiring in 1986. Prior to his work career, Bob was proud to serve his country as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corps. Bob also served his community as a hospital volunteer, a volunteer firefighter and as a Mason. One of his deepest loves was flying. Bob was an active member of the Northfield Pilots Association and served as manager of the former Northfield Airport for many years. He enjoyed traveling and fishing when he wasn’t flying his Bonanza or Cessna.

Memorial and Burial service will be held at the Northlawn Memorial Gardens 4724 State Rd. Cuyahoga Falls on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:15 in the afternoon. (PLEASE MEET AT MAUSOLEUM) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Patriot Guard Riders of Ohio (www.PGROhio.org)
