Glenn Young

GLENN YOUNG, age 79. Beloved husband of 58 years to Carol (nee Prokupek). Loving father of Michelle Young and Eric Young (Mae Larusch). Cherished grandpa of Joseph Young. Dear brother-in-law of Beverly Gettel (Bruce). Dear uncle of Marcus Gettel and the late James and Julie Johnson. Proud US National Guard Veteran. 

Glenn was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He worked for 40 years at First Energy as a Civil Engineer before retiring. His family meant everything to him and there is nothing he wouldn't do for them.  In his spare time, he loved hunting, fishing and gardening.  When you first met him, he was quiet and reserved. As you got to know him, you realized he was highly intelligent, witty and so funny.

We will all miss him dearly and love him eternal.

A Closing Prayer Service will be held on Monday evening October 14, 2024, at 7 PM in the funeral home. PRIVATE Interment Woodvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on MONDAY from 4 - 7 PM at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OHIO 44130 (WEST OF 1-71).
