She was born in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Clarence and Helen (Lazor) Kinkelaar.Gloria is the loving mother of Sherri Placko-Sable and Christine DuBetz (Tom); beloved partner of Robert Fischer; cherished grandmother of Amber DuBetz, Candace DuBetz, Brooke Stachler (Mike), Paige Sable and Justin Sable and great-grandmother of Aurianna Ely; dear sister of Clarence Kinkelaar (Juanita, deceased), Joyce Mayo (deceased) and Cindy Oprita (George); adored aunt of many.
A devoted mother and cherished grandmother, she lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and creativity. Her hands were rarely still—whether lovingly stitching delicate cross-stitch patterns, nurturing her vibrant garden, or preparing unforgettable meals for family and friends. Her heart found joy in the simple pleasures of life: scenic road trips, visits to Amish country, and sharing laughter around the kitchen table. Known for her generous spirit and unwavering love, she was a source of comfort and support to all who knew her. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and grace will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 5PM-7PM with a funeral service at 7PM at Craciun Funeral Home, 14925 E. Bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights, Ohio 44130.
