

Jim’s life was one worth celebrating. He was a man of quiet strength, steady kindness, and deep devotion to the people he loved. He was a loving father to Shelly (George) Gouvas and a proud, devoted grandfather to Tommy Gouvas, who brought him endless joy. He was a dear brother to Thomas (Claudia) Woodworth and the late Ronald Woodworth, and a beloved uncle to Beth. He previously shared a marriage with Patricia Wayne.
Jim shared a loving full life with Mike Mandarano, and warmly embraced Mike’s family as his own. He was a devoted father figure to Jacquelyn (Ian) Mikulski and Ericka Mandarano, a cherished grandfather by heart to Skler (Lalo) Ramirez, Mia Mikulski, and Gia Mikulski, and a loving great-grandfather to Camilla Ramirez.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Jim served as a paramedic, reflecting his lifelong instinct to care for others. He later worked as a computer programmer for LTV Steel, HBO, and Lorain Community Hospital, where he was known for his intelligence, patience, and reliability.
Jim found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. A loyal baseball fan, he faithfully followed the Cleveland Guardians. Soft-spoken and humble, Jim was known for his calm presence, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness. He didn’t need many words; his actions spoke for him.
Jim’s life leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and quiet joy. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
