MICHAEL A. BONACCI

Michael A Bonacci Sr - 65, of Olmsted Falls, OH, passed away at Southwest General Hospital on September 9, 2015, unexpectedly following a sudden illness. Mike Sr. Was born in Cleveland on December 4, 1949. He resided in Cleveland until moving to Olmsted Falls. He was a graduate of West Tech High School in 1968. In 1970 he joined the Army Reserves where he served until 1976. He married his wife Elga (Rosenberg) and had two children, Kristen and Michael Jr. Mike Sr. was the sole proprietor of B & B RV Service in Middleburg Hts from 1974-2000. He was the owner of the Grand Pacific Model Railroad Hobby Store, in Middleburg Hts, from 1991-present. He also owned/operated his beloved Farm Market located at his Olmsted Falls residence, that was founded by his son In 1984. The stand remained open to serve many loyal customers for 31 years. Among his many interests and hobbies, he also put on a free Thanksgiving dinner for the elderly, needy, and shut-ins of Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Twp, and Berea every year for two decades. He turned no one away. But his love for the holidays didn't stop there. For more than a decade he enjoyed portraying Santa Claus, driving his home built sleigh around town spreading Christmas cheer for the young and old alike. Aside from his occupations and charitable interests, his favorite past times were model railroading and participating in motor sporting events at various capacities. He also enjoyed attending county fairs and spending time with loved ones. He is survived by his wife Elga (Rosenberg), his son Mike Jr. "Mikey" of Olmsted Falls, his daughter Kristen "Punkin" of North Ridgeville, his Granddaughter Allison, his beloved dog Shannon, one brother and one sister. He was preceded in death by his father Harry Bonacci, his mother Katherine Bonacci (Palaic), and a sister Irene Bonacci-Voytus. Services will be held Tuesday, September 15th at 10 am at the same location. Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery 14609 Brookpark Rd. in Brookpark immediately following services.
