A wonderful Preacher Br. Freddy Was. I had the privilege of knowing him and his family. I also had the great privilege of being able to sing at his church. It was such a joy to know such a blessed man. 

Freddie was a good man, and a good friend to his God, as well as all who knew him.  Many years ago, somewhere around 1995,  during a particularly difficult time, I somehow ended up at one of his Sunday evening services.  My troubles must have been written all over my face, because he actually stopped in the middle of his service, asked an assistant pastor to take over, and took me to his office where we talked for hours, and I told him everything, even though I barely knew him at the time. I hate to see him go, but I have no doubt he made it home.

My two sons Kyle and Logan would always listen to him about God when they would not listen to anyone else!  He will be missed so much!  We turned him on to Soccer games.  We love you.  Rockey and Dianna 

my papaw was my best friend for almost sixteen years, nobody will ever top the love i felt from him constantly. he made me realize how special i was and how much he loved me every day. the way he bragged about me is what made me realize my worth. he's my favourite person in the entire world, and he's now with my other favorite person. the two best people ive ever and will ever meet. i love them more than life itself. im happy they get to dance again and get to tell their stories in heaven. papaw, i love you i miss you and i'll see you later 💗

my sweet papa, you were by far one of the most amazing people i have ever known. you always saw the good in everyone and always showed your love in so many different ways. the unconditional love i felt from you pushed me forward for many many years. the memories i have with you will last a lifetime. i love you so much. i hope you’re dancing with grammy up there. rest easy angel. 

You’ll always be in my heart Brenda and Freddie. May you dance on the streets of gold together. What amazing people and what amazing memories you have left for so many of us. Love you always. 

Freddie was one of a kind. He’s always been so good to me and my family, my faith is strong because he helped lead the way. I will forever be grateful to him and Brenda for welcoming  me like I was part of the family. The whole family was always so good to me. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone during this hard time. This earth is a little darker without him here but I’m sure heaven is shining bright💙

I don't know how to say what I'm feeling but I'll try. Freddie want just my friends father, he wasn't just my friend. Freddie was such a huge influence in my life., I practically lived at his house but it wasn't a house it was a home. A home that always welcomed me, always cared for me, always loved me.  He was funny, caring, compassionate, and yes strict. I'll never forget all the time he caught us boys cutting school. He punished us but more importantly he was teachhing us how to be responsible and how to be a man.  His love was unconditional. I'm sad he left us but I know he's with Brenda and they are now together forever. I love you so much Freddie, then you for loving me too.

my  name is Brenda  "J0-Jo " Triplett Hutchinson. I lived below  Freddie when we were very young . we lived up a hollow in Brenchland. Freddie lived with his  Mom, Rosie alone with  his brothers and his grandparents  and his uncle and aunt. He and his brothers were always laughing and were hard workers.  I grew up in the Branchland church, when Rosie married Glen and had their son Glenn, they never missed. all of Rosie's children were great kids  Rosie would shout each time she testified for our Lord. She also could sing and she had a  beautiful smile and was so happy in the Lord. Whenever Freddie would visit W.V. he would always  visit my mom or sister and he would always sing for us . Lots of times we would end up praising the Lord and having a wonderful church service in their homes  I moved to  milton  forty five years ago and still miss growing up at the "Holler." we were always safe and carefree. I rejoice today in the Lord because I know Freddie in safe and secure in HEAVEN. TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD. AMEN

Freddie is my cousin.  I didn't see him often but, when I did, I loved to hear him sing and talk about the Lord.  No matter how much time went by since he last saw you, he always found a way to compliment you.   He was a wonderful man.  He will be missed.

I really don't know where to begin. Freddie and Brenda were our best friends for 50+ years. Freddie was our Pastor for many years. He was always honest with us. He would tell us the truth whether we liked it or not. I always admired honesty. He would get up in the middle of the night to go help someone or pray for them. He has been one of the brightest lights as a Christian for me. He was there for my children, my grandchildren,  my sisters, brothers, their families and our friends. He never met a stranger. I will always remember the candle light service he started at our church. He was just an amazing person. I will truly miss, as Brenda and I called him, 'The Crazee Preacher", but we knew he was a great preacher. I will miss the visits and the calls, "Hello Dreemie". Greg, Eric and families,  follow the example he left and we can see him again.  We love you...

There are so many memories with Freddie, one that I remember is from when I was a little girl and Freddie had a firebird I was in the car with him and the window went down by itself I was use to the roll down windows so he was pretending that the car was haunted  because the car had electric windows I didn’t know anything about .he had me petrified I jump out of the car so fast and wouldn’t get in it for nothing. He had a good laugh at my expense 😜 I will miss him dearly.Me and Karen always told him he’s not hot he sizzles . He loved it .
Love you Freddie Thank you for giving to the Lord . 

Freddie was a man after God's own heart. He loved telling everyone about Jesus. He didn't know a stranger.  I can't imagine life without him. He was always there for me. I am gonna miss his beautiful voice. I remember when my son Aaron was a baby. The only way I could get him to quit crying was to play one of Freddie's tapes. He loved Freddie's voice. Freddie I know you knew how much I loved you and I thank God for you. I know your with Brenda and Jesus and you will never have the pain you suffered here. I know your leading the choir. I'll see you again one day. 

Greg and Eric.  I will always be here for you and your families. I love you with all my heart and I am praying for you. 

My heart is saddened that his physical body will no longer dwell here on this earth, how be it, it is with the uttermost joy and heart felt love that I know he is now present with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  
Brenda and now Freddie,  will be missed by me for the wonderful friendship they offered me and the joy in the Lord they shared with me.  I call him (them) my friends...


I loved my Uncle Freddie so much. He was a great man. Who cared about you, and wanted everyone to know about Jesus. I shall miss him every day. His voice, his kindness, him. 

Brother Freddie, 
You were our very first friend when we moved to Cleveland. You took a young family far from home, and made them feel welcome. You were our family pastor for many years and our brother and friend even longer. Your family was our family, and our family was yours. The encouraging words you gave us were needed  and God sent. Your sermons weren’t always “feel good” sermons….but that’s what I loved about you. You didn’t care what anyone thought, you were delivering the word of God from our most high Father. I saw you struggle many times over sermons that weren’t easy to preach, yet you did it without apology.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the kind words, sermons, Sunday School lessons and laughter you’ve given my family. I won’t see you again this side of Jordan, but I will see you again some sweet day!! Until then….enter in thou good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things….I will make you ruler over many!!!! We love you!! 

To Greg and Eric, the very best legacy that a father could leave,  was left to you boys. The greatest way to honor your parents is to put God first, and foremost. You both are in my prayers. I love you. 

My heart breaks because of your departure from this life; but I can rejoice because you have entered into eternal life with our Lord.  I will miss you, Brother Freddie, as so many other will.  Thank you for sharing the gospel in word, song, and action.  Thank you for loving people.  God gifted you with the ability to make others feel very special and important, and the easy way you could share God's goodness with everyone you met.  Truly, you never met a stranger :)  I will always cherish the breakfast/brunch/lunch time we (you, Dad, Mark and I) had a few months ago -- precious, precious time!  I will pray for peace and comfort for the family you leave behind.   Oh how they will miss you!  Thank you for being YOU -- One blessed man!

I thank our Lord for putting you and your beautiful wife in my life ! The world needs more people like you and Brenda in it. Thank you for being a Bible preaching Preacher ❤ Everytime  I see the sun , I will remember the beautiful Ray's ❤

Freddie was a inspiration to many. He loved the Lord. First time we heard Freddie and his sons sing at our church , they sung I can walk . 🙌 Prayers for the family 🙏🏻

Freddie was an amazing man. I grew up next door to him and spent a lot of my childhood at his house.  He was a 2nd father to alot of the neighborhood kids. He was such a kind and wonderful person.  Always there to listen and help you with any problems.  You and Brenda are reunited in heaven. I love you Freddie and will miss you
