Richard was the loving father of Sue Carrara (Kurt Kimmerle), Lisa Turk (Roger) and Tony Carrara (Christine). He was the cherished grandfather of Kristen Elkins (Scott), Kristopher Kimmerle (Patricia), Kevin Kimmerle (Diana), Tori Vicars (Joe) and Jonathon Turk, Benjamin, Gabrielle and Samuel Carrara as well as great-grandfather of Adam, Jacob, Casey, Jameson, and Sabrina.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; parents, Lawrence and Marie (nee Shontofsky) Carrara and brothers, Louis, Floyd and Larry.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church,12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville, OH 44136. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, OH 44273. The family will receive friends SUNDAY AFTERNOON 1:00PM – 4:00 PM at the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71).
