This week was very hard for me.   I haven't able to speak to her like I used to.  Our long conversations about everything and anything would no longer be there. Those dear secrets she confided in me would no longer be there.  With her  I learned the meaning of confidentiality.  I truly learned how to keep those secrets bottled up and not let anyone know what I knew / know.  Thanksgiving was always special. Every year was a new recipe to try, and she didn't hesitate to try out my different turkeys.  This year there was no turkey to eat.  I couldn't bring myself to do a turkey. How could I?  For 20 years, she was always at our table eating Thanksgiving dinner...

Mi ultima memoria el martes ella me dio palabra de aliento y me dijo se fuerte confia en Dios que El te dara la victoria y me dio su testimonio incluso trajo los papeles de lo que tenia y me decia creele a Dios tan linda recordare sus palabras no le digo adios sino hasta luego titi bella ya no estas entre los terrenales pero si entre los del Reino de los cielo.

Hace un tiempo atras visitamos a Titi Sonia de vacaciones y que Rico la pasamos. Uno de esos dÃ­as en que Nefti estaba payaseando empezÃ³ a molestar a Josie. Titi Sonia llegaba de trabajar y le habÃ­a traido peras a la perrita. Nefti empieza a molestar la y Josie estaba ya molesta. Titi Sonia en Medio de Risa pero Seria le dice a Nefti

Hay Suegrita! AÃºn sin creerlo. Que recuerdos bellos hemos vivido junto con tus nietos y hijo. Siempre con una sonrisa en tu boca. Un recuerdo vivo que tengo de ti fue en aquel dÃ­a de las Madres que tÃº hijo Ãngel estaba por AfganistÃ¡n en medio de una guerra y yo arranquÃ© y viaje con los nenes 13 horas en carro y te sorprendieron tus nietos a la puerta de tu casa Angelito y Jaaziel con flores.. fuisteis sorprendida y esa Sonrisa se hizo brillar. Otra fue hace poco a fines de Julio Dios nos permitiÃ³ pasar y quedarnos contigo por 2 semanas. La pasamos fenomenal. Tan chevere que Compartimos tantoâ€¦ Fueron nuestras Mejores Vacaciones contigo! Dios sabe lo que hace.  Son muchas las lindas memorias contigo.. siempre atesorarÃ© tu Consejos. Te prometerÃ© como te dije antes siempre cuidar de tu hijo y nietos. So many memories made. So much love was shared. My favorite memory shared took place in her home where so many of us in the family have been welcomed to stay at and break bread in. A home to so many of us. A place that was constant despite all the moving around so many of us did. We had just moved back to Cleveland. Titi Sonia had cooked and after dinner as Nefti ironed his clothes for the next day she went looking for the many picture albums she had. The night was full of stories as Nefti and titi Abby roasted each other all night about each others photos and titi Sonia tried so hard to keep them from saying things like that about each other but always ended up just laughing and looking at all of us like we were crazy. So much laughter filled that home that day as my sis and I got to know more about the child, the young lady and godly woman that was titi Sonia. It was wholesome. 

I will miss celebrating the best moments of my life with her present. Being called Chachita and receiving a hug. She gave the absolute best hugs! Her words were always so affirming and full of love and guidance. I love you titi Sonia
