I was sad to hear of this. Tom and I worked at NASA's Lewis/Glenn Research Center. Fond and happy memories (PSL and Softball League) What a fun, colorful guy, I can hear his great laugh as I write this. I should have reached out to him after we retired.

Our family is so very sorry to hear that Tom passed away. He was my dads golf buddy and neighbor down the street….. Ralph Bennett.   Our thoughts are with you all.

I was only with Tom a few times but he was a very friendly, caring and family oriented person and gone too soon. May he rest in peace and prayers for the family🙏🙏


I only had the privilege of being around Tom a few times but found him to be a very caring, lovely, family oriented person and my prayers go out to the family🙏🙏

My deepest sympathy to the Knapp family. Tom was a good man and a mentor to me when I first started at NASA. Recently I would see him at St. Mary's Church in Berea. He will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I had to add a funny memory.  Tom and I were golfers. I bought a new set of clubs and we were looking at them on my front lawn.  A neighbor across the street came over.  All three of us started swinging the clubs.  I said to the neighbor who came over “I wonder how they will work in the rough?”   I walked over to Tom’s lawn and started to swing a club.  The neighbor started to laugh.  Tom looked at me and said “Italians” while shaking his head.  Tom’s lawn was always trimmed.

Tom was a great neighbor and friend.  We were neighbors for over 50 years.   I can’t count the number of times we talked about the neighborhood and people we hired to work on our houses.  Our children all went to the same grade school.  We both worked at NASA GRC.  I will miss him and consider myself lucky to have known him in my life.   I will join him someday and we will discuss our new neighborhood.
