William "Byll" Kissig

Byll Kissig, age 70. Beloved son of the late Norman and Ruth Kissig. Loving brother of Margaret Blanc (Jim), Tom Kissig (Chris), and Donald Kissig (deceased)(Calista). Cherished uncle of Jeffrey Blanc (Lauren), Matthew Kissig (Rebecca), and Brian Kissig (Hannah). Adored great uncle of Ash, Owen, Haleigh, Liam, and Ady Belle. Loyal companion of his 4-legged friend, Jessie. Dearest friend of Josh, Phil, Mark, Jon, Gary T., Gary W., Maryann, Randy, and Rivi.

Byll graduated in 1971 from Rhodes High School. He attended Baldwin Wallace College where he graduated in 1975. He worked for Ohio Bell/AT&T as a programmer. In 1998, Byll started working at Home Depot in Cleveland Heights as a customer service representative in their contractor service department. He retired from Home Depot in 2021. Byll loved to paint houses in his spare time. He had a passion for music and the orchestra. Byll was in the marching band during his time in high school and college. He was awarded all city orchestra for Cleveland. Byll has been a well-known Reiki Master for the last 31 years practicing Reiki healing on friends and those in need of healing. Byll enjoyed spending his free time with family and friends, traveling to the beaches of Maine, attending home run derbies and cookouts, blue frosting from cake tongues, goofing off with his nephews, and watching his grand nieces and nephews grow up. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Byll’s memory to the Stay-A-While Cat Shelter, 12662 York Delta Dr. North Royalton, OH 44133, stayawhilecatshelter.org.

A memorial service will be held on Friday May 3rd, 2024, at 4 pm in the funeral home. The family will receive friends Friday May 3rd, 2024, from 4 – 7 pm at the A. Ripepi and Sons Funeral Home, 18149 Bagley Road Middleburg Heights, Ohio 44130 (West of I-71).
