David was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of First Baptist Church in Middletown. David was a member of Jefferson #90 Masonic Lodge, Antioch Shrine Rovers and Antique Car Group, Ambassador for the Middletown Shrine Club, Royal Arch Masons #87 and Scottish Rite.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Caldwell.
David is survived by his wife of 54 years, Susan (Rogers) Caldwell; three sons, David (Valerie Day) Caldwell, Jason (Amy) Caldwell and Brian (Brandi) Caldwell; five grandchildren, Joey, Zach, Emma, Reynolds and Wilson and sister, Suzanne Shafer and numerous nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Linda Markstein.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Breitenbach-Anderson Funeral Home, 517 S. Sutphin Street, Middletown, Ohio 45044. Masonic Services will begin at 7:30 PM.
Funeral Service will be Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Middletown, 4500 Riverview Avenue, Middletown, Ohio 45042 with Pastor Scotty Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum with military honors.
