Gladys J. Hopkins

Gladys J. “Dude” Hopkins, 83, of Carlisle, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Hopkins; daughter, Mindy (Dave) Valandingham; parents, Margaret and George Carpenter; and siblings Audrey Lapp, Merle Meyer, and Ernie Carpenter.

She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Bork; children; Kim Reeves (Alan), Stephanie Jones, Rodney Jones (Sondra), and Dana Jones (Kathy); and grandchildren, Jeremy (Yolly), Justin (Misty), Nikki, Derek (Lissa), Nick, Cameron, Allie (CJ), Austin, Tyler, and Kaelen. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, as well as many other loved ones.

Gladys retired from Moraine Farm, where she served faithfully as head of the front of the house for more than 20 years. A woman of strong faith, she loved the Lord and her family deeply. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, collecting trinkets, and spending time with those she cherished.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 S. Sutphin St., Middletown, OH 45044. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial at Miami Corwin Cemetery, Waynesville, OH.
