Joyce Wright

Joyce Wright, age 88 of Middletown, OH, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026. She was born on December 19, 1937, in Campton, (Wolfe County) Kentucky, the daughter of Henry Clay Cockerham and Carrie (Kidd) Cockerham.

Joyce was a devoted mother, Christian and semestrist. Joyce was a homemaker until her 4 children were grown. After, she owned and operated her own upholstery business with her husband, J&J upholstery. Joyce loved to sew quilts and pillows for her loved ones. Joyce attended Poasttown Church of God and loved teaching and bringing others to Jesus. In her free time, Joyce loved crossword puzzles, thrift shopping and watching the squirrels out the window.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, James Wright; 7 Brothers (Elzie, JM, Carl, Sterling, Billy Howard, Forest and Henry), and 1 Sister (Ruby). Many nieces and nephews, Step-Son, Tim and her Grandson, Jeff Tutt.

Joyce is survived by her children, Loretta (Tom) Pahula, Bill (Vickie) Tutt, Alan (Char) Tutt, Lilla Rice and step-children, Rhonda, Jimmy and Donna. She had several grandchildren, great grandchildren, including Brianna and Jackson Barnett and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be 12 PM-1 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 PM with Pastor Kevin Beck officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.
