Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Taylor. She is survived by her children, Don Taylor, Myron Taylor, Sam Taylor, Melinda Taylor, and Susie McCloud; daughter-in-laws; Lisa Taylor and Mari Fadden; son-in-law, Bobby McCloud; grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy, Kirsten, Tori, Liam, Maggie, Sophia, Seamus, Finn; and a great-grandchild, Peyton.
Mom cooked enough food to feed an army, instead the expected company of five to ten. When she brought you dessert, the bowl was overflowing. She loved working in her yard and tending to her flowers. She loved her dogs, but more importantly, her dogs loved her, even all of the grand dogs.
She was known to cuddle, snuggle and read to her grandchildren. She used to love her football games, but her heart was most recently devoted to her beloved hockey games. She danced to Bob Seger and Creedance Clearwater Revival. She danced at weddings, she danced at her home. She didn’t shy away from a card game, and her children’s mean competitive streak could easily be attributed to her. She loved to read, and took a book with her wherever she went. She had a great sense of humor, she wasn’t afraid to laugh at herself. She loved Pride and Prejudice and Game of Thrones equally. She adopted her children’s friends as her own.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin St., Middletown.
