She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Weber and Mariah Wilson; her brother, Kenneth Profitt; and her cherished grandchildren, Amelia Wilson and Oliver Wilson. A proud graduate of Lemon-Monroe High School, Class of 1960, Marilyn was active in the National Honor Society and Student Council, and she loved sharing stories of her high school adventures and community involvement.
Marilyn’s life was defined by her love of family, faith, and learning. She treasured attending church, spending time with her grandchildren, and exploring the world through travel, with special memories of San Francisco, Estes Park, and England. A lifelong reader, she was a familiar face at her local library. She found joy in bookstores and the company of books. She also adored her Norwegian Elkhound, Sassy, who always held a special place in her heart.
Faith was the cornerstone of Marilyn’s life. She lived fully in the love of Jesus, and her family finds comfort knowing that she is now at peace, her mind is clear, and she is rejoicing in Heaven. They are thankful the Lord saw fit to take her home and end her suffering here on earth, and are grateful for God’s salvation through Jesus so that they may all be together in Heaven once more.
Marilyn is being laid to rest at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, OH, with a service to follow locally in the spring; details will be announced later. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization Marilyn supported throughout her life.
Marilyn will be remembered for her devotion to God and family, and the countless lives she touched during her life. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
