Theodore Jesse Thompson

Ted attended Morehead State University, where he met his future wife. He was in the Army for two years. He worked at Armco/AK Steel at the Open Hearth and Blast Furnace until retirement in 1993. He enjoyed lifting weights, golfing, and going to his grandkid's sporting events.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Kermit, and his sister, Delores.

Ted is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sonja; children, Todd (Tami) Thompson, Quinn (Diana) Thompson, Chad (Amy) Thompson; grandchildren, Tiffany Sekach, Tyler Thompson, Courtney Christian, Taylor Greene, Caleb Thompson, Gunnar Thompson, and Cy Thompson; great grandchildren, Jenna Sekach, Harper Sekach, Russell Thompson, Emma Thompson, Trypp Christian, Lando Christian, Everly Greene, Stephen Greene, and Lukas Greene; sister, Loretta Gillespie and other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be 10 AM-11 AM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Madison Township.
