Laurie knew she was not perfect by any means and trusted Jesus as her savior while attending Assembly In Christ fellowship 15 years ago. She, as so many of us, had regrets, but that's all done away with now. She has a new eternal life of love and forgiveness!
Laurie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Pat M. Welch, Sr., of Midland, and a sister Wanda McLaughlin of Oklahoma.
She is survived by her sister, Cordell McVay of Spring Hill, Florida; two sons, Pat M. Welch, Jr., of Oklahoma, Jim Welch of Midland and wife Johni Welch; four grandsons, Mike Evans and wife Holly, Michael Welch and wife Heather, Army Sergeant John S. Evans and wife Katie, and Lance Welch and wife Briana all of Midland. She had eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Service is graveside at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland, Texas, on Saturday, September 26 at 9 a.m. with Pastor Sherry Williams presiding.
