

Billie Cline passed away suddenly on December 17, 2011 at Midland Memorial Hospital. She was born in Sanco, Texas on November 5, 1935 to John Herman and Gladys Laura Benningfield. She Graduated from Denver City High School and Jessie Lee Cosmetology College.
Billie is survived by her husband, Kenneth Cline and her four children: Son Johnny D. Hamilton of Albuquerque, NM; Daughter, Carol St. Clair of Midland, Tx; Son, J. Brad Hamilton and wife Karen of Eugene, OR; Daughter , Skeeter Callahan and Husband Denny of Denison, Tx; and Kenneth’s four children: Cyndi Lou Cline of Idalou, Tx; Michael Cline and wife Yolanda of Albuquerque, NM, Melinda Cline of Idalou, Tx and Theresa Neece also of Idalou, Tx Billie is also survived by her sister, Doris Roberson of Denver City, Tx and brother Eugene Benningfield and wife Pat also of Denver City, Tx and what seems like a billion grandchildren who she loved and treasured as well as only a million great grandchildren, innumerable nieces and nephews, and many, many loving friends.
Billie was a prize winning artist and also won several awards for her talents as a hairstylist. In her 50’s she began an acting career and appeared in several movies as well as many commercials and magazines and additionally a music video but she was most proud of her appearance in a Pepsi commercial.
Billie became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the early 1960’s. She enjoyed teaching others about Jehovah her happy God (1 Timothy. 1:11) and was very proud to serve as a Pioneer for many years. No matter what she was doing it was for Jehovah’s glory (1 Corinthians. 10:31). If you could give a gift to her it would be that you fulfill 3 John 4 “No greater cause for thankfulness do I have than these things, that I should be hearing that my children go on walking in the truth.”
Billie was young at heart, loved life, was a true lover of people and had a very charismatic personality. Consequently, everyone who ever met her loved her charming ways. Billie “Blackbird” Cline will be sorely missed. She was our precious mother, a wife, friend to everyone and bible teacher to many.
Interment will be held at Denver City Memorial Park at 10:00a.m. on Wednesday December 21, 2011.
A memorial service for Billie will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5100 Lamesa Rd. in Midland, Tx. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy. Midland, Tx.
