

David was born on March 12, 1931 in Burlington, TX to Charles and Annie Jezek.
He graduated Temple High School and went to work for Western Union working in Pecos, TX as a telegrapher before entering the US Air Force in 1952 serving his country during the Korean War as a Sargent handling classified communications. David was honorably discharged in 1955 and married the love of his life Joyce in 1957 they were together for 45 years. After returning from Korea David resumed his career with Western Union where he met Joyce in San Angelo and made their home in Midland since 1957. David enjoyed buying, tinkering and selling cars, Family get togethers and barbeques with family and friends. David was a faithful member of Kelview Heights Baptist Church for 48 years.
David is survived by his two son's David L. Jezek II and wife Nancy and Kevin Jezek and wife Lisa all of Midland; five grandchildren, Jason Stall, Jennifer Stall. Morgan Jezek, Travis Jezek and Tyler Jezek, along with four great grandchildren, David Stall, Bella Stall, Austin Robinson, and Emmerson Jezek. David is also survived by his sister Dorothy Wood, and his brother Charles Jezek.
David was preceded in death by His wife Joyce Jezek and son Keith Jezek; his Parents Annie and Charles Jezek, a sister Irene Sefcik and a brother Clarence Jezek.
The family will be visiting with family and friends on Monday August 29, 2016 at Ellis Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There will be a celebration of David's life at 1:00 PM, Tuesday August 30, 2016 at Kelview Heights Baptist Church, with internment following the service at Resthaven Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Lamun, Lusk, Sanchez Texas state veterans home along with all his home caregivers over these past few years.
