

Dorothy Rotan Hall passed away January 4, 2014 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Midland, TX to Rush and Iva Rotan on June 29, 1930. She attended South Elementary, Cowden Jr. High and graduated from Midland High School in 1947. She married Truman Hall in 1950 and raised three children. Dorothy was known for her personality, sense of humor and her smile. She could play jokes on you with the best of them, and always had a joke or funny story to tell which she found funnier than anyone else but most of all she was a woman of great faith in the Lord and was dedicated to prayer. She was truly the type of woman the bible speaks about in Proverbs 31 verse 10-31.
Dorothy was preceded in death by husband, Truman Hall, her parents and brother, Bobby Rotan.
She is survived by daughter, Pam Stamper and husband Mike, sons, Charles Hall, and wife Wilma, Randy Hall and wife Ann all of Midland, brother, Foy Rotan and wife Sarah. Grandchildren Shawna and husband Mike Sims, Staci Brookshire, Justin Stamper, Chris and wife Shannon Hall, Corey and wife Amber Hall, Cara and husband Gary Rodgers, Randall and wife Breann Hall, Sam and wife Kneely Hall and Matt Hall. Great Grandchildren Payton, Payslee, and Parker Sims; Trenton Brookshire, Jaxon Ransom, Cooper and Canon Hall, Makayla and Cayden Hall, Casey Alldredge, Conner Hall, Hannah, Brylie, Aniston Hall.
Special thanks to staff of Senior Care Center of Midland for the wonderful care given to her and to hospice of Midland. Mrs. Hall will lie in state from 12:00-9:00pm Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00am Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at True Lite Christian Fellowship Church 3001 A Midland, TX.Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Services are entrusted to Ellis Funeral Home.
