Ernest Carl Martinez Jr.

Ernest was born in Stanton, Texas on July 4, 1968 to Ernest Martinez, Sr. and Irene Lara Martinez. Ernest married Shirley McPeak 15 years ago on March 19th 2001.

Ernest was self-employed, he was a man of many trades, blessed by God with exceptional talents. There wasn’t anything Ernest could not fix. Ernest knew what “Hard Work” meant. Ernest enjoyed life and lived it to his fullest every single day, “The Ernest Way”.

Ernest was preceded in death by his mother Irene Lara Martinez.

Ernest is survived by his wife, Shirley McPeak Martinez of Midland, Texas. His father Ernest Martinez, Sr. His son Christopher Martinez both of Midland, Texas, two daughters, Drucilla Cano of Arlington, Texas and Kimberly Salas of Brownfield, Texas, Three sisters, Mariza Castro Martinez of Fort Worth, Texas and Mariza Bennett and Veronica Crouch both of Midland, Texas. Ernest was also survived by three grandchildren, Three nephews, Three nieces and numerous cousins, Aunts, Uncles and very many friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Ellis Funeral Home on Tuesday Nov. 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Ernest funeral service will be in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday Nov. 23 at 1:00 PM with interment to follow at Serenity Memorial Garden Cemetery.
