

Esther McQuatters entered into the arms of the Lord Tuesday, February 23, 2010 surrounded by her family, the caring staff at Manor Park Younger Unit and Home Hospice. She was born on March 4, 1920 in Lostine, Oregon to Carl and Macel Haaland. Esther graduated from Life Bible College in 1947 and came to Midland along with Penny and Birdie to build and pastor The Foursquare Church. She met and fell in love with A.J. McQuatters; they married June 30, 1950. A.J. preceded her in death in 2001. They were blessed with two daughters, Nancy Roys and Donna McQuatters. Mom was a selfless, kind, and loving ambassador for Christ. She faithfully and lovingly served the Lord throughout her 89 years, and she touched many lives with her kindness of spirit. She lived her life for the Lord in word, but more importantly in action. Esther was a true example of the virtuous woman mentioned in Proverbs 31. She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Roys and husband Curtis and Donna McQuatters; by her granddaughter Mich Robertson and her grandson Andy Neatherlin; her great-granddaughters Tori and Payton Robertson. She will be missed by her two brothers and two sisters, numerous nieces and nephews and all her brothers and sisters in Christ. The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home, Thursday, February 25, 2010 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Celebration of her life has been scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 26, 2010 at The Living Way Foursquare Church, 415 Alta Avenue, Midland, TX.
