

Eva Sheldon White, 92, died April 16, 2015, in Midland, Texas. Eva was born in Lampasas County, Texas, and was the daughter of Chester W. and Beatrice Arnold Sheldon. She graduated from Evant High School and attended Draughon’s Business College in Dallas.
On January 11, 1942, she married Charley L. White, Jr. in Fort Worth, Texas. Eva and Charley lived in several places during World War II. After the war, they settled in Ft. Worth, where their two children were born. They moved to Abilene in 1959. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and using her accounting skills as a homemaker. After Charley retired, they enjoyed traveling in their RV and fishing.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, three brothers: Leslie, Weldon, and Elbert Sheldon, and a nephew, Dwight Sheldon.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen White Burkett and husband Bill of Midland, their children, Jennifer and husband Jason Meyers of Dallas, and David and wife Lauren Burkett of Keller, Texas; son, Dr. Randal White and wife Deborah of San Antonio and their children, Christopher, Mackenzie and Harrison White. She had four great-grandchildren, Hayden and Price Meyers and Nolan and Rebecca Burkett. In addition, she is survived by three sisters-in-law: Letha, Virgie, and Nellie Sheldon.
A private family graveside service will be held at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, Texas, officiated by Reverend Dr. Cliff Stewart.
