There is so much that has happened and I miss being able to pick up the phone to hear you say, "Grandson". I know you are watching down from heaven and I know at times you are proud and other times you are cursing haha but I love and miss you. The Chiefs finally are back to back Super Bowl champs, who would of thought. We talk about you often and your great grandsons are getting big. You would be proud of them. I love you and until we meet again just know every day I strive to be the man you saw in me.

I miss you more and more all the time, Trying to make you proud and you are the one I will always look up too, its been 6 years today and it never gets easier. I love you grandpa.

Its 2020 now and it still feels like yesterday. Its so hard without you and I miss you so much. I wish you didnt have to go so early. I love you. Fly high grandpa, you will always be the best.

Grandpa, you are one of the most humble, kind and generous men I know.  You were always there for anybody who needed help or even advice from you, without any hesitation.  I will always remember talking with you and learning so much from you, even late into the night at times.  You cared about the family and loved us all so much, and I'm very lucky to be able to call you my grandpa and always will be.  This is not goodbye at all, and as the marines approach it will not be a new journey for me but for the both of us as you watch over.  I miss you and love you grandpa.

Grandpa is not only a Grandpa he was/is a father, a Grandpa, a great Grandpa, a uncle, a soccer coach, a football coach, a baseball coach, and a geologist.  Grandpa is very smart, Grandpa is the smatest man 
 I  knew. He was my soccer coach he told me "give it your all" he also taught my mom when she was little. Grandpa loved soccer very much. We love you and miss you.

Grandpa, 
To be honest with you, I used to think that you were God or worked with him directly because you used to legitimately be able to answer my dumbest questions when I was young. Like the time I asked you how high clouds were, and you said "well who in the hell knows how high any of these clouds are, that's like asking a geologist how deep are these rocks." and we laughed together at an unanswerable question that you were able to give me a good analogy on how widespread the answer could be. For that Grandfather, I truly appreciate your patience throughout my entire life. And, thank you for helping me through all the extremely hard math equations to get my certification in my field that has helped me out tremendously today. Grandfather I love you so much and you have brought so much to every individual that has ever met you. I still believe today that you are truly a part of God's deepest friend circle. Because only a prophet of God could have saved this many souls. I love you can't wait to see you again.

Grandpa, 
I saw and was inspired by your passion from the very first time I met you. We all went out to eat in Midland and you and Grandma had just recently visited Ireland. You were telling us about going to an area there that was in poverty and you were speaking with such passion and tears running down your face for the love and admiration you had for the people having to suffer going through that. You were such an inspiration to anyone that you talked to. You were such a huge part of your family that will truly be missed but know that you installed a whole lot of greatness in each and every one of them. Your grandson, Chris, my husband has become the great man he is today because of you. I, like everyone else, wish so bad that we had more time to make more memories. May you have much peace in your new journey.

I salute you George for a life well lived.  You were an inspiration to all of us.

You were more than a grandpa, you were a huge part in raising Chris, David and me. You never gave up on anything or anyone no matter how frustrating. You gave us the best childhood and you dedicated all your free time to teaching us manners, coaching our sports and helping us with homework and just being there and loving us. Some days the memories come flooding in and it's very difficult to accept the fact that you are no longer with us grandpa. I'm forever grateful for you, I miss your smile, dry sense of humor, your stubbornness and your unconditional love. You were the rock in our family and you will forever be the voice of reasoning in my head. I love you and miss you Grandpa, thank you for always helping me up wherever I fell down and never giving up on me. You were and will remain the greatest man in my life.

It's been hard for me to put into words how much I miss you and I wish I would have had more time to tell you how much I love and appreciate you. You are the best Dad, not because you had to be, you are the best because you wanted to be. Your respect, love for adventure, and love for your family is what I miss now and the lifetime of memories shared have brought me peace. George was a friend and mentor to me and a few other geologists at Gulf Oil in Casper. He anchored our very mediocre bowling team. We met up again in Denver for a few years. I had always thought that one day he would pop in at Dinosaur Ridge where he had studied at Mines and I could have shown him what's new. But alas. My deep sympathy for Dee and his wonderful family.

Ten years ago I had the pleasure of meeting George & Delores Olson. I came in to their lives through their wonderful grandson David, my husband. George, I will always remember the conversations and wisdom you shared with everyone. The memory I hold dearest is the night we stayed up all night talking, and I got to hear of the adventures you had, about your parents, and life in general. That night I learned so much about you and your history. You truly were always a genuine person, and I cannot thank you enough for everything you did for David & I. One thing is for sure... I will always make sure our son Dax knows who Grandpa Olson is. David has always said, "If my grandpa was here and saw what you just did...," so I am assuming Dax will definitely be getting the same conversation. David always looked up to you, as so many did. I know you will be watching over everyone, but just know Karen, Kathy, & Rick are doing one hell of a job making sure Delores is taken care of, and we are all here for her. It's never goodbye, it's always I'll see ya later. So until we meet again just know you are missed dearly. I love you.

My Grandfather was/is very successful, not only with his career but with life and family. He taught us all important virtues that will be passed down generation to generation. Grandpa I appreciate all the ideas, thoughts, and theories in life you opened my mind and eyes to. I appreciate that you never turned your back on any of us even when at times it might of have been just as easy to. I will remember so many things about you and the times we shared in person and over our weekly phone calls. I will teach my son the importance of honesty, being reliable and accountable, importance of education, and so many other great attributes that you shared with me and the rest of the family. You will be greatly missed, but you will not be forgotten. I love you Grandpa

My dad is , was ,and will always be the only man who made me the man I am. Dad you always took care of me my mom and my sisters . You always took care of the family no matter what . We where opposites and that I know that is what made our relationship so special . I can't put put in words what my father means to me,taught me , showed me , instilled in me . Thank you so much dad for having the love and patience , that I will never forget . I have always been proud to say this is my dad George Olson . There are not enough words to express Dad and all the values, lessons, wisdom and so much more he bestowed upon me, our family and everyone he met. You will live on thru your children and your children's children and our generations will continue all that you passed to us as we will pass down to them. You were our "Rock" and we will continue to be the strong family you built. I love you so proud to have been one of your daughters. Until we meet again Dad enjoy your new adventure, know you keep all laughing with your sense of humor.

I always counted on George's calm, giving spirit during his legendary soccer coaching career! I am so sorry for your loss. He was a great man. He is missed by many.

Anyone who ever met George need only scratch beneath his exterior of stubbornness to discover an interior world of endless goodness, warmth and pureness of heart that knew no bounds.

Uncle George, I am sorry I was not able to be there with you in the last days you were always in my heart and my prayers and I know you have found peace. You will always be in my heart and in a large part of my memories, because i have loved you my whole life.  I will forever love you!!    Aunt Dee, my cousins Karen, Kathy, Rick and all my other little cousins.  I am unable to be there in person to share memories but I will be there in spirit.   My heart is with you all and so are my prayers.

We only met George a few years ago. We liked him from the beginning. He was such a kind and interesting person to talk to. Our thoughts are with the entire family. We know you loved him greatly and he provided the stability to all of you. Hopefully the memories of him will help during this time.

Delores, I am so sorry to hear about your loss of George. He was a very nice man. May he rest in peace.

May God hold you all in the palm of his hand, allow to you celebrate a life well lived, smile at the memories you made and find comfort in each other.  We so enjoyed spending time with George when he visited Colorado and will remember him with great fondness.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Take care of each other and know that you were all blessed to have such a wise and loving man in your lives.
