
Hugh Corrigan III was welcomed into Heaven on December 2, 2010. Hugh was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on September 14, 1923. Hugh grew up in Midland, Texas and graduated from Midland High School in 1941. He attended The University of Texas and in 1944 he moved with his parents to Vero Beach, Florida. Hugh served his Country in the US Coast Guard during World War II and was stationed in Florida. Hugh moved back to Midland in 1983 and was in the oil and ranching business. Hugh loved his time at his ranch in Marfa, Texas, his cabin in Tin Cup, Colorado, and his hunting trips to Africa. He took his first trip to Africa in 1956 and was an active member and past president of the Shikar Safari Club. He was involved in many hunting and conservation organizations. Hugh was known for his love of family and friends from all over the world, his sense of humor, his great smile and his giving heart. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Clementine Corrigan and his wife Ann Ulmer Corrigan. Hugh is survived by his loving wife, Judy Edwards Corrigan; brother, Pat Corrigan; sons, Hugh Corrigan IV and Patrick Edward Corrigan; grandchildren, Bryan, Bill, Blake, Ryan, and Callie and four great- grand children. Monday, December 6, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered at www.ellisfunerals.com.
