Jack R. James

Leonard, Texas in 1927. He married Gwen Johnson in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1949.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and had many lifelong friends.

He enjoyed golf, fishing, skiing, playing the guitar, and spending time "building memories"

with good friends and family. Jack was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy

Trinity. Jack is preceded in death by his wife Gwen James, and son Reagan James.

He is survived by daughter, Susan Gallemore and husband Bill of Colleyville, Texas; son, Gary

James and wife Brenda of Katy, Texas; son, Jack L. James of Keller, Texas; son Jeff

James and wife Kris of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Kelley Arredondo of Colleyville, Texas, Christen Gullatt and husband Kevin of Fort Worth, Texas, Brandon James and wife Sarah of Canton, Michigan, Philip James of Burleson, Texas, Christy James of Katy, Texas, Madison James of Aledo, Texas, Danie Roberts, Raegan, Braden and Peyton James of Midland, Texas; great grandchildren, Breanna Arredondo, William Gullatt, Patrick Gullatt, and Jazmine Cox.

Visitation will be held from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m., Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Abilene, Texas, at 3:30p.m. Reverend Barbara Kirk-Norris will be officiating.
