

Joe Glenn Harrison, Jr., Loving Son, Brother, Father and Friend, went to be with our Lord, December 1, 2010. Harrison died in a fatal tractor/fire accident in Nueces County, South of Robstown,Texas. Joe was born in Nowata, OK, June 8, 1959, to Joe Glenn & Loretta (Bitters) Harrison. He grew up and attended school in Wichita Falls. Joe's great desire to become a policeman - moved to him Corpus Christi, TX, where in 1989, he completed the CCPD Academy and began his career as a Corpus Christi Policeman. Joe served 20+ years on the CCPD force. He loved serving with his fellow workers & the citizens of Corpus Christi. Joe was a friendly guy with everyone he came in contact with; so much so - people began calling him "Officer Friendly", which would really make him laugh. Joe was a wonderful, dedicated, loving & happy man of faith - serving his Lord and Savior in every way possible. He was a member of Cathedral of the Palms Church in Corpus Christi, where he was ordained into Manna Ministries International. Harrison taught at Manna Bible School- teaching Kingdom Principles; he also taught a junior high student Sunday school class. Joe loved working with & mentoring young people. He served with Manna Ministries International Team and traveled to Russia and Europe as well as all over the United States to share the gospel. Harrison also worked with church security for Cathedral of the Palms Church and Pastors Gloria and David Farjardo of Manna Ministries and Cathedral of the Palms Church. Harrison is survived by his parents of Midland, Joe Glenn and Loretta Harrison; two sons, Glenn Chance Harrison of Wichita Falls, and Benjamin Cole Harrison of San Antonio; two sisters, Marcella (Harrison) Friday & Judy (Harrison) and husband Alex Kager, both, of Midland. One brother, Tom Harrison of Richardson, his fiancé, Desi Denis; and four nieces, one nephew and two great-nieces. Memorial Services have been scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Friday, December 10, 2010, at the Cathedral of the Palms Church Corpus Christi, TX. Graveside Services have been scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 13, 2010, at Resthaven Memorial Park Midland, TX with Pastor Gloria Farjardo of Cathedral of the Palms Church, Corpus Christi and Pastor Mike Hanks of First Assembly of God, Midland, TX officiating.
