Jose grew up in Fort Stockton, Texas, where he attended Fort Stockton High School. Jose lived in Midland, Texas where he has enjoyed being with family, running his RV location and spending his time on the lakes with his son’s, nephews and friends. Jose may have had some struggles but lived life to its fullest. Jose loved taking his boat out and fishing, he enjoyed doing this alone but really enjoyed taking his son’s and nephews out. Jose would do just about anything for his family and friends, you called he came. He was proud of his country serving in the United States Army for 3 years in the Rangers 7th Infantry Division. Jose fought for his country in ‘Operation Just Cause”. Jose was able to make anyone who knew him laugh, he had a very charismatic personality. Jose was rough around the edges but without a doubt you knew he would be there for you.
He is predeceased by his father Blas M. Castrejon.
Jose is survived by his mother, Juanita Rios Castrejon, his sons Christian Jose Castrejon and Matthew I. Castrejon, his sisters Rosa R. Castrejon and Monica Lavenant Castrejon, his brother Victor R. Castrejon, his nephews, Andrew, Diego, Xavier, Patrick and Victor Jr., his nieces Emilie and Genesis and many close cousins, friends and loved ones.
Our loss is sudden and unexpected, but God has a plan. With a smile and a smirk Jose said, “Rangers Lead the Way”. As his family we are grateful that he is at peace with the father.
