

Julia was born in San Angelo on March 1, 1932, where she attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated. She met the love of her life Jesse F. Perez and married him on January 31, 1949; they were married sixty-five years.
Julia enjoyed family trips to San Juan National Basilica, cooking, and baking her lemon pies for her family, along with doing her crossword puzzles. She loved her grandchildren dearly and helped raise them along the great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. She was a devoted catholic and a member of San Miguel Archangel Catholic Church.
Julia is preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Perez; grandson, Mike Mancha from Midland, Texas; her sisters Margaret Hernandez, and Elena Arroyo; her parents, Juan and Juanita Arroyo of San Angelo, Texas.
Julia is survived by her husband Jesse F. Perez; daughters, Susan Hignojoz, Mary Ramirez and husband Jesse of Midland, Texas; sons, Richard Perez and wife Carla of Sweetwater, Texas, Brian Perez and wife Cherelle of Midland, Texas; eight grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, seven great great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews whom she adored very much.
Family is welcomed on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home, with a rosary beginning at 7:00p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at San Miguel Archangel Catholic Church, with Father Bernard officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
