Marcos De La Rosa, 72, of Midland, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012 doing what he loved best. Marcos was a hard working, honest man. He loved ranching and his family. His humorous personality was loved by all. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Marcos was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Ernestina De La Rosa, and both of his parents, Reyes and Francisca De La Rosa. Survivors include his sons, Rey De La Rosa and wife, Lety De la Rosa and Marcos De La Rosa Jr. and wife, Tina De La Rosa, both of Midland, Texas; his daughters, Mary Castaneda and Claudia De La Rosa, both of Midland, Texas; and his grandchildren, Christopher and Jacob De La Rosa, Brandon and Julie Castaneda, Alexis Aguilar, and Amari De La Rosa, all of Midland, Texas. Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Monday, May 28, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 11:00am at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel and officiated by John Van Hoose. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park North.
