Mary was born on October 25, 1923 in Lake Dallas, TX. She was the seventh of nine children. After her father passed away, her mother was forced to put her younger children in the Texas State Orphans Home in Corsicana, TX, where she remained until her high school graduation.
She eventually settled in Denton, TX, where she lived for many years. On December 8, 2001, Mary was joined in holy matrimony to her high school sweetheart, the love of her life, LeRoy Bell. God blessed them with 11 years of wedded bliss. Mary was a beautiful person, both inside and out. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her sweet spirit. To know her was to love her. She will be missed greatly by family and friends.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, LeRoy Bell, step-son and wife, Phillip and Sherry Bell; nieces: Jan Parks, Vicki Dieffenwierth, Sue Cole, Phyllis Brinkley, Peggy Groll and Tressie Bradburn; nephews: Larry Cornwell, David Cornwell, Tommy Bradburn and James David Bradburn; sister-in-laws, Julia Cornwell, Anne Cornwell, and numerous other great nieces and nephews.
