

Mary was born in Bend (Lometa), Texas, on January 22, 1931 to Jessie Ernestine Swindell Clark and William Nolan Clark. She attended Bend School “on-the-hill” and graduated Salutatorian from San Saba High School in 1947.
She continued on to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Accounting from Abilene Christian University in 1952. She married Q.O. “Bill” Pike on October 23, 1982, and they were married for 20 years before Bill passed on to Glory.
Mary worked at various times as an accountant and was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, Bible study, and her family and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Bill, and one sister, Ivy Jean Clark Holman. She is survived by her three children: Stephen (LaNell) Dean, Danny (Daveda) Dean, and Cindy (Clint) Parker, and their father H.A. Dean. She is also survived by Bill’s children: Stephen W. Pike and Freda A. Pike; grandchildren Stephanie Porter, J.D. Machacek, Ben Dean, Loni Jividen, Kelli Haas, Kristi Dean, Joshua Dean, Joseph Dean, and twelve great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings; Johnnie Keeney, Monte (Billy Gene) Arms, William (Jane) Clark, Patsy (R.J.) Henniger, Nancy (John) Hicks, Carrie Wayne (Toney) Keeney, C.C. Kay Brockman, Toni (George) Mayben, and Penny Pierce; and a beloved plethora of nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation held in Midland from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, at Ellis Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20 at The Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Don Mitchell officiating. A visitation will be held in Bend, Texas on Friday, August 21, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bend Church of Christ. A Graveside Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, at the W.N. Clark Cemetery in Bend, Texas.
