Mary was born in Pulare, Oklahoma on December 25, 1927. She graduated from high school in Whiteface, Texas. Mary was married to Larue (Larry) M. Gansel, deceased 1982.
Mary loved music and played numerous instruments. She frequently played piano at area nursing homes. She was an accomplished musician. She travelled the globe with her daughter. She was previously active in the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Midland.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Opal Lamm of Seminole, her son Riley Joe Lamm, and her brother, Alvin Lamm Jr.
Mary (known as Nana) is survived by her sister, Wanda Mason Willis; three daughters, LaWann Lemley Tull in Georgetown, TX; Debbie Gansel in Midland, TX and Marsha Lemley Browning in Corpus Christi, TX. She has nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren along with loving nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday January 16, 2016 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Midland, with Pastor Gayle Reeves officiating. She donated her body to Texas Tech University Science to further research on the debilitating disease rheumatoid arthritis.
