

Melissa was born to Josephina Reyes on November 18, 1964 in Big Spring, Texas. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1983. She then married the love of her life Frank Ochoa on June 15, 1985. She was married for 30 years and was a caring wife and mother.
A beautiful and humble person, Melissa was the type of person that, if she couldn’t say anything good about a person, she didn’t. At the time of her death, she worked for Long Star Trucking, a job she loved so much. She had a very special relationship with one of her colleagues and friend Hope Yharte.
She also worked at JC Penny’s, St. Luke’s, and Mrs. Irene’s Daycare Centers. Melissa enjoyed spending time with her husband and two beautiful girls, baking for others, drawing, doing puzzles, reading and she loved K-pop music, her favorite group was “VIXX”.
Melissa was preceded in death by her grandmother, Carmen Tarango; grandfather, Samuel Tarango and three uncles.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Ochoa; two daughters, Ashlee and Gaby Ochoa; her mother, Josephina Reyes; her most loving aunt, Velma Espino; sisters, Melinda Patino, Patricia and Criselda Hernandez; her mother in law that she loved so much, Nena Ochoa; her nephews and nieces, Reuben and Andrew Patino, Jesus Ochoa, Jessica Ramirez and numerous others.
There will be a Visitation on Sunday, December 27 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service has been scheduled for Monday, December 28, 2015 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Midland. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
