Miguel "Mike" Diaz Rendon, 73, of Dickinson, Texas, went home to be with the Lord peacefully and surrounded by his beautiful wife and children, February 26, 2018 in Webster, Texas.
Mike was born on October 23, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas to Juan Diaz Rendon and Concepcion Fierro Rendon. He married the love of his life, Maria Luisa "Licha" Rendon on July 4, 1965 in Midland, Texas.
Mike was self-employed and worked as a tile contractor for many years in Midland. He later retired to Dickinson, Texas.
Mike was an avid singer and guitar player. He loved reading his Bible, music and singing praises to the Lord. He loved to share God's Word to all people. One of his favorite hobbies was fishing, but most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, whom called him "Tata" and his "Lil Angels".
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Guadalupe Rendon, Juan Rendon Jr., Mariano Rendon and sister Dolores Rendon.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 53 years, Maria Luisa "Licha" Rendon; daughters, Esther Gonzalez of Midland, Sylvia and her husband Scott LeBarron of Dickinson, Texas, son Gilbert and wife Adrianne Rendon of Midland and his grandchildren "Lil Angels", Bianca, Cailen, Brooke, Kendall, Jaden, Abigail, and Grayson. Also surviving Mike is his sister, Margarita Rendon Gamez; brothers, Manuel Diaz Rendon and Eddie Diaz Rendon, and many nieces and nephews.
Mike was a loving husband, a great father and grandfather. He was a Godly example to his family and will forever be in their hearts.
There will be a funeral service in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 9 a.m.
