Patricia Ann (Peters) Hodges

Patricia Ann (Peters) Hodges, 69 of San Antonio, was called home on Sunday, March 20, 2022. A public visitation for Patricia will be held Thursday March 24, 2022, from 5-7pm in the chapel at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with the rosary from 7-8pm. A funeral mass will occur Friday March 25 at 12 noon at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Burial will occur Friday March 25 at 1pm at Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family wishes to extend an invitation to celebrate Patricia’s life from 2-4pm at Mac’s BBQ.

Patricia was born on October 17th, 1952, in Houston, TX to Joseph V. and Ernalea Peters. Patricia spent her childhood raised in Denver, CO until moving to Midland, TX. Midland is where she met the love of her life, Rych W. Hodges, while attending Robert E. Lee High School. Patricia earned her bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and later earned her master’s degree as well. She is a life-long educator who spent her entire professional life educating and advocating for children in two different states and 6 different districts throughout Texas. Using her teaching experience and leadership skills, she dedicated herself to serving as a MISD School Board Trustee to ensure better educational opportunities for Midland students. Patricia, a devoted Catholic, also dedicated her time to teaching confirmation classes and leading youth programs at St. Stephens in Midland. She lit up every room she entered and was always smiling no matter the challenges that may be in-store. As a deaf ed teacher, her hands spread love, kindness, and encouragement as she taught.

As a wife she was devoted. As a mother she had only unconditional love for her three children. As a grandmother she showed the importance in life of having fun. As a sibling she showed what loyalty truly meant. As a teacher she was a lighthouse to her students. As a friend she was fresh spring air. As herself she was always smiling.

Patricia is preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, two sisters, her husband, and her youngest child.

Patricia is survived by her youngest brother Bill Peters, his wife Deidre; her children, Ashley Hodges- Bussell and her husband Jeff and children Kyler, Guy Nic, Donovan, and Brannan; Brandon W. Hodges and his wife Allison Ann and their son Wyatt.
