

He was born on June 9, 1930 to Charley Kennedy and Lucy Green Kennedy in Arkansas. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather and brother. R B was an active member of Golf Course Road Church of Christ and really enjoyed meeting and working with his care group. He enjoyed sports, traveling, and especially loved visiting and playing with his grandchildren.
R B was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charley Kennedy and Freddie Kennedy; and three sisters, Lorene New, Christine Hicks and Zula House.
Survivors include one son Chris Kennedy (Robin); one daughter, Yvonne Rydeen (Dan); two stepsons, Keith Garrett and Steve Garrett; and six grandchildren: Josh Rydeen, Ally Rydeen, Amanda Rydeen, Ian Kennedy, Aidan Kennedy, and Logan Kennedy; and one sister Pansy Sanders.
Family will welcome guess Monday December 8, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services for R B are scheduled for Tuesday December 9, 2014 at Elli Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
