Vidal Montoya

Vidal was born on December 24, 1929 in Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico to Eugenio Montoya and Librada Carrasco Montoya. He married Olympia Urias on May 29, 1959, in which he was blessed with 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Vidal was in agriculture for most of his life, and later a construction worker. He then went on to retire and spent his time doing what he loved most: playing guitar, singing, gardening and enjoying time caring for his grandchildren.

Vidal is survived by his wife, Olympia; children, Enrique Montoya and wife Irma, Guadalupe Sanchez and husband Gustavo, Elizabeth Rubio and husband Job, Vidal Montoya Jr. and wife Rosa Emma, Jose Alfredo Montoya and wife Patricia, Leonel Montoya and wife April; and numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1-9pm on Sunday, May 19 at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, May 20 at Ellis Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 21 at San Miguel Archangel Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Serenity Memorial Gardens.
