Abigail M. Travis

Abigail M. TRAVIS, 16, of Bon Air, VA died at home on Sunday, December 4, 2016. Her beautiful smile and engaging personality warmly touched everyone who met her. Abigail, a junior at James River High School, loved the chorus and fencing. She was very talented in art, which she inherited from her Mom and a love of old movies and Broadway shows that she shared with her Dad. Abigail had a mischievous and fun loving nature that was cultivated by her sister Sarah. But mostly she enjoyed spending quality time with her close group of friends which she deeply loved.

Abigail is survived by her parents, Gary D. Travis and Nicole Travis, and her sister, Sarah, all of Bon Air, Va. Her sister Erin Harris and husband Daniel Harris of Lawrenceville, GA, her grandmother Sylvia Travis from Mountain Top, PA, as well as several aunts, uncles cousins and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy Valunas. Abigail’s paternal grandfather, Jack Travis died in 1987.

Friends and family may help celebrate her life at Woody’s Funeral Home on Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA from 6-9pm on Tuesday, December 13 and help offer Abigail a peaceful journey home to the loving arms of Jesus by joining the family at a funeral mass on Wednesday, December 14 at 1:30pm at St. Edward’s Church off Huguenot Road.
