Andrew Wayne Warf, 43, of Midlothian, VA, transcended time and space on November 24, 2024, leaving behind years of souvenirs and a record collection that any college radio station would be proud to have.
He moves forward on his journey without his amazingly strong and loving wife, Lori (she never said no to any of his adventures!), his wonderfully kind and beautiful daughter Emma Rose (8), and his adventurous and fearless twin boys (7), Jackson and Oliver, who no doubt are their father's sons. He also continues on without his parents, Billy and Joyce Warf, and his best friend and brother, Adam, and Adam’s wife, Yulia.
Andrew graduated from Midlothian High School and then Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. But it was after graduation that he was reunited with his sweetheart Lori, best friends since they were in high school.
"Do a good turn daily"—the Scout Motto. Andrew was an Eagle Scout and, by sole virtue of who he was as a person, always embraced the Boy Scout Law. His father remained active in the Scouting community, and Andrew always admired this. He was quick to tell a story of Billy’s most recent scouting trip or share a helping of his troop's famous Boy Scout BBQ.
A diehard Hokie, Andrew rarely missed a home football game. He loved watching and talking Hokie sports and always enjoyed filling his friends in on the next big news. Blacksburg always held a special place in his heart.
He loved his family immensely and found joy and love in sharing all of his favorite things with them. Whether it was hanging out on the dock at his family retreat at Smith Mountain Lake or relaxing on the beach, he loved enjoying time outdoors. He loved music and going to concerts as much as any one person could and cherished sharing these experiences with his friends and family.
Andrew’s spirit, boundless curiosity, and passion for life leave an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. His laughter, generosity, and adventurous soul will live on through his children, his family, and the countless friends who shared in his love of music, the outdoors, and Hokie pride. As he embarks on his next journey, may his legacy inspire us all to live fully, love deeply, and never pass up the chance to say “yes” to life’s adventures.
