

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lou Grady Vaughan, her father, Frederick Jesse Vaughan of Richmond, Virginia; and her sister, Jessica Pearman.
Anne is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jimmy Moore; her children, Sandy Moore and his wife, Juliana; grandchildren, Jamie and Kaelyn of Moseley, Virginia; Kevin Moore and his wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Braden, Ryan and Gracen of Fairfield, Connecticut; Louanne Tatum and her husband, Stuart; grandchildren Mason and Harper of Midlothian, Virginia; and her sister, Fredrica Coates, and her husband Michael of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
In life, she filled many roles: wife, mother, grandmother, educator, volunteer and friend.
Anne graduated from Douglas S. Freeman High School in 1963 and went on to earn a B.A. in Elementary Education from Westhampton College. She taught 2nd & 3rd grade for Chesterfield County Public Schools for a number of years, and later served as Director of the St. Luke’s Preschool for 22 years. Anne served as a volunteer for 5 years for Chesterfield County Police Department and was named Volunteer of the Year in 1997 & 1998. She also served on the board, and as President for Chesterfield CASA, was a hospital volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center for 12 years and served on the J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College Advisory Board representing Powhatan County.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, April 27, at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, April 28. Interment will be private at Westhampton Memorial Park.
