

LOGAN, Arthur Gerard, born September 17, 1923, departed this world Wednesday, July 4, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathryn E. Logan; infant children, Mary Kathryn and Brian Gerard; and his parents, William and Mary Logan. Arthur is survived by his four sons, Kevin, Mark, Michael and Donald; four daughters, Ruthann, Kathleen, Patricia and Colleen; sons and daughters-in-law, Grant, Erich, Chris, Diane, Felicia and Liz. He is the proud grandfather of 17 grandchildren, Katie, Brian, Ryan, Michael, Jeanette, Keith, Jared, Abigail, Sean, Kathryn, Tessa, Emily, Timothy, Logan, Megan, Dallan and Colin; 17 great- grandchildren, Logan Claire, Reid, Samantha, Isabel, Eddie, Logan, Michael, Joseph, Declan, Finn, Lydia, Wallace, Alanna, Teagan, Lilah-Grace, McKinnley and Olivia; brother, James Logan; in-laws, Alfred and Jeanne Reid, Joanne Reid, Robert Wittig and Eileen Knight and their families.
Arthur was a proud WWII veteran, having served in Europe. Arthur was a graduate of Rensselaer (RPI) in Troy, N.Y. He was a former employee of AMF and Philip Morris International. After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed their volunteer hours with the American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels.The family would like to express their gratitude to Mr. Logan's dedicated caregivers.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Midlothian, Va. 23113. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2012 at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Rd., N. Chesterfield, Va. 23235. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
