Billy Eugene Gross passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father Rubin Gross; his mother Ruth Gross; his son Douglas Gross; his brother Junior Gross, and his sister Catherine Dougherty. He is survived by his daughter Bonnie Hite; siblings David Gross (Joyce), Virginia Austin, Evelyn Fellers, and Betty Meador (Herbert); Grandchildren Ryan Gross (Melissa), Lauren Adkins (Daniel), Alex Gross (Morgan), Nicholas Gross, Chris Hite (Dallas), Chelsey Hite, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Billy was a Korean War Veteran with 3 years in the Army, and was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation. Billy enjoyed the outdoors and loved keeping up with the weather.
A celebration of life will be held in Bedford, VA at a later date.
