Brian was born on June 23, 1958, in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph H. Astroth and Marjorie Irene (Bishop) Astroth. He grew up in Chalfont, PA and graduated from Central Bucks West High School. Brian went on to Slippery Rock University and graduated in 1980.
Brian and Lynne met in Downingtown, PA in 1982 and were married on September 24, 1983. It was a short engagement but there was no need to wait when you found “the one.” They welcomed two children, Jason Joseph Astroth and Brittany Lynne Astroth. Over the years, Brian spent time coaching some of the kids’ sports teams and supporting them in their sports and other endeavors.
He started his career in the insurance business and moved to the oil industry in 1985 with Mobil Oil Corporation. As corporate mergers took place starting in 1999, Brian worked for TOSCO, Conoco Phillips, Phillips 66 and then moved over to Mansfield Oil, finishing his career with Musket Corporation. Over his career, he built several good business relationships with many customers becoming friends.
Brian had many passions and things he enjoyed doing. Some of them include being a great sports fan to his favorite teams: Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Flyers and the San Francisco Giants. He was a music lover and played guitar, enjoyed golfing with his buddies and coworkers, taking bike trips with his Northern Virginia friends, working out with the neighborhood group - Brookstone Fit, feeding and watching the birds and squirrels, making Buffalo wings, brewing beer, and having a beer, manhattan, or martini with his closest friends and family.
The most important things to Brian were his family and his dogs. He was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a good life, just not long enough.
