Mr. Carl Edward Castle Jr, age 66, born on January 28, 1958 and raised in Richmond, Virginia, was called home to heaven with his Lord and Savior on April 15, 2024 after complications from a heart transplant. His heart was one of a kind and truly irreplaceable. Carl was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 18 years, Lisa P. Castle, and a legacy of love and laughter. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his children, Brandy Castle(Companion Todd), April Castle (Husband Adam Mimms), Austin Castle(Wife Tabitha), stepchildren Sonja Lhota(Husband Ricky), Brant Mulaney (wife Jennifer) and Shannon Perez (Husband Jamie), as well as his cherished grandchildren Amarah, Grace, Christian, Laci, Leah, Conner, Breelyn, Aiden, Cameron, Johanna, Caleb, Joseph, Zachary, Lucas, Andrew, Kimberly, Kelly, Kandace, and Avery; as well as one great-grandchild, Wesley who all meant the world to him. Additionally, Carl is survived by his brothers, Eddy Castle(Wife Christine), Ted Castle(Wife Cheryl), brother-in-law Richard Ettinger(Wife Trish), sister-in-law Deb Tyson(Husband Allen), and many loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl E Castle Sr. and Lillian Elizabeth (King) Castle, sister Elaine Chinners, and brother Michael Castle. Carl was an extraordinary and loving husband, daddy, brother, papa, friend, and man. He loved his family, children, grandchildren and above all else the Lord with all his heart. His time was often spent with his family and friends enjoying every moment of life. His beautiful blue eyes, smile and laughter could light up any room and anyone’s day. He was a loyal friend, and a man who always gave to those in need, and never expected a thing in return. He truly had a heart of gold and was well known and loved throughout the community. He was blessed with an enormous amount of talents, especially operating heavy equipment. With his 50 plus years of experience he created and ran his own business Castle Construction and poured his entire heart and soul into his craftmanship. He was said to never work a day in his life because he so thoroughly enjoyed and loved the work he did. He had a gift of creating a masterpiece with any piece of land. It was a blank canvas that he crafted with pride into something so beautiful. His hard work, dedication and attention to detail shined through every job completed. His clients often gave a glowing review of his work and his heart. Carl resided in Blackstone, VA for the past 28 years. In his free time, he enjoyed various hobbies such as fishing, boating, attending tractor pulls, riding motorcycles, camping, and as Carl would say "tinkering" with motors. His passion for fixing things and his adventurous spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him. We will be having a Celebration of Life Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 4-5 p.m at Christ Family Outreach Church in Amelia, VA. It will be followed by a Memorial dinner at Whispering Pines Plantation in Amelia, VA from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. We welcome friends and family to please join us in sharing all the wonderful memories he gave us!
